After!

Okay, so there's still a laundry list of things we want to do and we really haven't even started, but I have 5 new trees! I am so excited, it's been on my mind to do for almost 2 years and now the first step is done. In a few weeks we'll be adding two more birch trees and a jackaranda and a California pepper tree.

Way too busy

Wow. I have been going nonstop almost since October with etsy sales and then with the holidays and other random work and family things so my desire to work on the house took over the minute Christmas arrived and since Christmas we've had four trees removed.

Now:
And on Thursday 5 little birch trees will be planted in this space to provide privacy and some shade for our house and our neighbour's driveway and I will be uploading the photos here.

Today we removed the ugly green carpeting from the livingroom:

And put in some really nice and very affordable cream colored carpet for the living room and since no animals really hang out in here we feel pretty safe in the color choice:

And my cousin Jeff came over and has given us a quote for a shower for our bathroom and a new privacy fence for the backyard which we've been wanting for almost as long as we've been living here. So that will be in the works beginning sometime in the next week. It's amazing how much has been accomplished in such a short amount of time and I can't wait to upload the 'after' pics of everything.

December again

Wow. I know it's cliche to say, but wow. 2009 is over. It's amazing how fast it goes sometimes.
For 2009 I have made some great strides in my business on etsy. I have over 350 sales, I have a resell license and I'm still enjoying it. I also did Nano and had a blast this time. In fact I'm working on the book still and really do have plans for people to see it in 2010 and have it finished by my birthday in April.
As for my real job, I'm very happy. I have an amazing boss who is just the best and I look forward to going to work every day - which is a rare thing. And I have the best husband and I'm constantly astounded that we continue to be happy with each other. So that my life, work and hobbies are all positive what changes do I need to do for 2010.
That's an easy one. I have been sedentary for too long. It's great that my two favorite things tax my creativity but my body. Wow. I just saw some recent pics and wow. I have to change. I have been going to the gym more and more but without the two hours that I used to dedicate each day to the gym I have really fallen. So this year will be about becoming fit again. Go back to spinning classes and weight training to get myself to a place where I'm healthier and don't cringe each time I see a photo of myself. And since I don't really believe in waiting I plan to start a new regiment this week. Tonight. Now.
